An audience profile helps you determine who you are trying to sell to or provide a service for. These will be your target audience so your marketing efforts need to be geared towards this group of people. When coming up with an audience profile, here are some questions you should be asking.


What is my audience’s target demographic?

  • What is their age range?
  • What is their gender?
  • Where are they located?
  • What is their education level?
  • What is their occupation?
  • What is their family structure?
  • Do they have budgetary restrictions?

What type of lifestyle does my target audience live?

  • What do they do in their free time?
  • Do they smoke or drink?
  • Do they eat healthy?
  • Do they like the outdoors?
  • Do they belong to any physical or virtual groups?

What are their pain points?

  • Do they want a title change?
  • Do they want more free time?
  • Is there something they don't want to handle themselves?

Where would they want to purchase your product or service?

  • Do they want to buy your product or service online?
  • Do they need to go into the store to check out the product?
