Social media marketing tactics can be different for every company and every industry. However, one thing that remains consistent for every company is the desire to see proven results from social media marketing. As the social media landscape constantly evolves, it is best to stay on top of new trends and ideas. That’s why we wish to give you our top 25 social media marketing tips. 11. Focus on Relationships

We are naturally social creatures, it’s one of the things that make us uniquely human. At the end of the day social media is people. People who are just living their lives (getting married, getting divorced, having kids, laughing, crying, win jobs, los jobs, have fun, etc.). With that being said.. OFFER VALUE!

Offering value to people in your community with a goal of building real relationships is crucial to “win” on social. Offer your value and knowledge in your field. If you are a business owner with a brick and mortar location, be actively involved in your community! If you exist in a digital space inspire your communities to connect with you with a goal of achieving their objectives. Remember, their objectives, not yours.

By helping them with objectives or questions they have they will look to you as a reliable source to find information and will be more likely to give you their business down the road.

Try Newsjacking! Never heard of it? It is the art and science of injecting your ideas int a breaking news story to generate tons of media coverage, get sale leads, and grow a business.

When there is news in your marketplace or community, reporters and analysts are seeking experts to comment on the story. The art of newsjacking gets you that coverage, with little effort. As the story develops buyers become interested in products and services based on what’s happening now! Look at all the “experts” in regard to crypto currency. Many of these people attached themselves to crypto as it became more mainstream. Some are reliable and some are not. This is where authenticity comes into play. People will eventually figure out if you are an expert or not.

13. Not an expert? That’s Okay!

People want authenticity.   As previously mentioned people will eventually figure out if you are an expert or not. If you are not, that’s okay!

Rather than claiming you are an expert; claim you are becoming an expert! Document your journey to find enlightenment in the field. For example, share new and exciting tips that you have learned in the field. Post interesting articles from people or companies in your field in hopes that it may add value to their lives. People will begin to see you as an expert and will be likely to ask for your advice as they continue to learn and grow. Who knows you may even become a mentor to some of them down the road!

14. Address Your Target Audience By Name

When creating posts or ads on social media, address your target audience by name. Sounds basic. Marketing 101. Right? You would be shocked how much content out there does not call out their audience directly. Remember when I mentioned ad targeting?

This is the perfect chance to talk to your clients by name! If you’re not getting results, I can tell you this is the number one reason why!

You may have the best product out there but remember: You are competing with millions of other posts. Make sure your post stands out to your intended client. If you are marketing small business owners, use the name in your headline, text, description and have your image relate!

15. Aim for Engagement First

A huge mistake small business make with social media is they try to get a lead or conversion first. One thing businesses need to understand is that people are scrolling social media for entertainment and not to buy or submit their email. Focus more on engagement with your community.

Start with images and information related to your industry. Boost those posts to reach you targeted audiences. You’ll be shocked to see how soon you’ll have a healthy base of fans and followers who are excited see what you will post next!
